A4 printing size is 210 mm by 297 mm (or 8.3 inches by 11.7 inches). You can either print directly in this size (for example a small poster or a large flyer). You can also print on A3 which is then folded in half to give you an A4 leaflet or booklet.
Let us ask you:
- Would you like a professional looking mini-booklet to leave with your clients? (A4 carries more weight than an A5 booklet and you can fit more information in to it)
- Do you need professional printing for the pages that go into A4 ring bind folders that you hand out to delegates or employees? This could be for training, employee handbooks, H&S folders etc.
- Do you want to print small, but effective posters, to promote an event or your shop?
If you have answered yes to any of the above, then A4 printing is the solution that you have been looking for.
You can choose silk, matt or gloss finish along with a choice of paper weights. The most common weights are 100, 120, 140, 160, 250 or 350 gsm (grams per square meter).
The weight you choose depends on your needs. For example, if you are looking to insert these printed pages into an A4 folder than 120-160 gsm will give you a great look. However, if you are looking for a standalone marketing piece (such as a booklet or leaflet) then the heavier the paper you choose, the more professional it will look.
A4 Flyer Printing
A4 flyers are a great solution for promoting:
- Restaurants
- Clubs
- Events
- Shops
They give you more room for information, photos and vouchers than an A5 flyer.
These flyers are typically printed on 100, 120, 140 or 160 gsm.
A4 Leaflet Printing
These are printed on A3 which is then folded in half. With A4 leaflets you have two extremes. You can choose cheap flyers and small posters which are great for promoting events and shop sales.
At the other end, you have professional mini-brochures which are printed on very heavy paper and given to or posted to clients and prospects. These are more expensive but require a much smaller run.
We’d recommend a paper weight of 100-160 gsm for the cheaper leaflets. If you want a professional looking mini-brochure, then we would recommend 250 or 350 gsm.
A4 Booklet Printing
These are a great way to show off your products or a range of services. We suggest that you go with a thick cover (such as 350 gsm) and then thinner inside pages (100-140 gsm) as you would do in a book.
