Founded in the Victorian era, this two Royal Warranted company has long been known as a British heritage brand associated with high quality. Here at Brightside, we endeavored to fulfil their requirements to the high standards a company of their stature has come to expect.
Brief
We were tasked to print a collection of Product Range documents to be used internally amongst their staff prior to the new season launch of their spring/summer products. This included working to tight and strict deadlines. The information within them had to be closely followed by the staff whilst handling products and packaging, therefore generic binding such as saddle stitching or perfect binding would induce the documents to self-close. A method of binding that would ensure they remained open when in use would need to be employed.
Solution
Working directly with a dedicated Account Manager all schedules, materials and budget requirements were calculated and a plan of action was formulated. It was agreed the best option available for the binding was to use plastic comb binding. In this particular project, functionality was the priority along with producing a document that would quite hard wearing to protect against the repeated use these manuals would receive. To increase their durability an additional transparent acetate outer cover was added during the binding process.
The Results
The end proved to be a collection of practical and damage resillent documents printed on budget and on time, fulfilling the client’s brief. From what we understand, Hunter’s Spring Season that year was also a success too.
